World-Class Web Presence for NCAR

NCAR will evolve it's web presence towards a theme-oriented “face” that serves as a virtual nexus in the geosciences for a worldwide audience. For researchers, it will serve as a clearinghouse for models, computational resources, data, a wide variety of tools, and collaborative work environments. For educators and educational programs, our web will provide a rich source of unique information and media. For the popular press and broadcast, we will become a ready resource for breaking research news along with engaging imagery and media of interest to the general public. And, for our own research efforts in computational science and information technology, our web infrastructure will serve as an enabling foundation for developing new technologies that will serve us and our stakeholders in the future.
